Ella Halevi, 24, is from Sde Yaakov in the Jezreel Valley. She is a second-year Electrical Engineering student at the Technion, a lover of the Hebrew language and head of Reference’s Hebrew desk. She is married to Noam, an Aeronautics and Physics student, and they live together in the Technion dormitories.

Lê Xuân Nhi (Soni) is from Vietnam and is a fourth-year international student in Mechanical Engineering at the Technion. She is an English reporter and illustrator for Reference, and enjoys reading works in different languages and genres.

Yael Ratson

Yael Ratson, 23, is an American-Israeli fourth-year Architecture student at the Technion. She works on Reference’s English desk and social media. She has been writing poetry and songs since 2019 and is passionate about music in all its forms, including dancing, singing and playing.

Ilya Sotnikov

Ilya Sotnikov grew up in Netanya and is a first-year Aeronautics student at the Technion through the Academic Reserve program. He contributes Hebrew poetry and works on Reference’s Hebrew desk. His favorite hobby is writing poems, inspired by the beauty of the Hebrew language.

Zoe Bareket

Zoe Bareket, 25, grew up in Tel Aviv and studies Architecture and Town Planning. She sings songs and sometimes writes them too, in Hebrew and occasionally in English.

Sondos Zbedat, 24, is a Computer Science student at the Technion and the artist behind “Diver” and “Lady with a Flower” in Issue 2 of Reference. Painting gives her space beyond the pressures of studies and daily life; roses recur in her work as a symbol of beauty, strength and the choice to keep blooming.
